Olmsted Beach

Located on the shores of Lake Nipissing, Olmsted Beach in North Bay, Canada offers visitors a serene and peaceful getaway. The beach stretches over 300 meters and features soft, golden sand perfect for lounging or taking a stroll.

Olmsted Beach has several amenities, including picnic tables, BBQ pits, washrooms, and outdoor showers. Unfortunately, there are no lifeguards on duty, and dogs are not allowed on the beach.

There is a parking lot available at Olmsted Beach, and parking is free. The lot can accommodate many vehicles, but it's best to arrive early on busy weekends to secure a spot.

Fun fact: Olmsted Beach is named after the Olmsted family, who were early settlers in the area and owned a nearby farm.

Visitors to Olmsted Beach can also explore nearby attractions, including the North Bay Heritage Train and Carousel, the North Bay Waterfront, and the Duchesnay Falls Trail. The beach is also conveniently located near several restaurants and cafes, including The Boat, a lakeside restaurant offering seafood and other classic dishes.
