Grotto Beach

There are no restaurants or bars on Grotto Beach, but visitors can enjoy delicious Bahamian cuisine at nearby restaurants such as the Fish Fry, which serves fresh seafood dishes, and the Island Bar and Grill, which offers a range of international cuisine.

Visitors can stay at nearby hotels such as the Pelican Beach Villas, which offer beautiful beachfront villas with stunning ocean views and modern amenities, or the Island Seaside Suites, which are located in a tranquil setting and offer comfortable accommodations with easy access to the beach.

The beach has bathroom facilities, but there are no lifeguards on duty, and dogs are not allowed.

The beach is approximately 1 mile long and has fine white sand that is perfect for beach activities such as sunbathing, swimming, and beach volleyball. Grotto Beach is also known for its crystal clear water and stunning coral reefs, which make it a great spot for snorkeling and scuba diving.

There is a small parking area available for visitors, and parking is free. Visitors can also arrive by boat and anchor in the calm waters of the bay.

Fun fact: Grotto Beach is named after the nearby Blue Hole, a natural underwater sinkhole that is over 600 feet deep.

Apart from the beach itself, visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as the Sugar Loaf Cay and the Bonefish Pond National Park. The Sugar Loaf Cay is a small uninhabited island, and visitors can explore its beautiful coral reefs and swim in the crystal clear waters surrounding the island. The Bonefish Pond National Park is a natural reserve with over 2,000 acres of land and is a great spot for bird watching and hiking.
