Radio Beach

Radio Beach is located in Alice Town, on the island of Bimini in the Bahamas. This beautiful beach stretches for over half a mile and features soft white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters.

Visitors can enjoy a range of activities at Radio Beach, including swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, and fishing. Amenities at the beach include bathroom access and a few beachside vendors selling snacks and drinks. However, there are no lifeguards on duty and dogs are not allowed on the beach.

There is a parking lot located near Radio Beach, and parking is free of charge. The lot can fill up quickly on busy days, so visitors are advised to arrive early to secure a spot.

Fun fact: Radio Beach was named after the large radio tower that used to stand near the beach. The tower was used for communication during World War II.

One of the main attractions near Radio Beach is the Bimini Shark Lab, a research facility that studies sharks and their behavior. Visitors can tour the facility and even participate in shark research activities. Other nearby attractions include the Bimini Museum, which showcases the history and culture of the island, and the Healing Hole, a naturally occurring pool with reportedly healing properties.

There are several restaurants located near Radio Beach, including Bimini Big John's, which serves up local seafood and American favorites, and Edith's Pizza, which offers delicious pizza and Italian dishes.

Visitors to Radio Beach can stay at the Resorts World Bimini, a luxury resort located just a short distance away. The resort features a casino, multiple dining options, and a private beach area.
