There is no parking lot at Salmon Bay, visitors should park their vehicles at the nearby Thompson Bay settlement and take the shuttle bus to the beach. The shuttle bus runs regularly between Thompson Bay and Salmon Bay, and the fare is included in the Rottnest Island admission fee.

A fun fact about Salmon Bay is that it is home to a large number of marine creatures, including a variety of fish, starfish, and sea urchins. Visitors can enjoy snorkeling to explore the marine life around the bay.
