Silver Sands Beach is a picturesque stretch of sand located in the suburb of Mandurah, Western Australia. It is situated between two groynes (breakwaters), offering a wide sandy space ideal for swimming. The beach is backed by Ormsby Terrace and private homes, some of which have direct access to the beach. It is a little exposed to westerly winds but generally safe for swimmers. Lifeguard patrols are available on selected days from the nearby Town Beach lifeguard station.
The area surrounding the beach offers a car park with amenities such as BBQ, tables, a playground, showers, and toilets. While it lacks extensive picnic facilities, visitors can find more shops and dining options just a short walk away along Henson Street and Ormsby Terrace. The sunset views from the beach are breathtaking, making it a great spot to spend the day.
The Silver Sands area also hosts several holiday houses and apartments, contributing to its relaxed and tranquil atmosphere.
