Duke of Orleans Bay, located about 85 kilometers east of Esperance in Western Australia, is a picturesque coastal wilderness area. It is known for its uncrowded beaches and serene natural surroundings, making it perfect for family holidays, outdoor activities like swimming, surfing, and fishing, as well as four-wheel driving and water sports. The bay offers breathtaking views and is nestled between Cape Le Grand and Cape Arid National Parks, making it a unique and exciting destination for nature lovers.
Access to the bay is via the sealed Orleans Bay Road, although four-wheel drive vehicles are needed to reach some of the more secluded bays. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as wakeboarding, water skiing, and boating from the small boat ramp at the southern end of the bay.
The surrounding area is home to a variety of wildlife and spectacular flora, especially during the wildflower season from October to December, when the area is at its most vibrant.
