Sorrento Beach(Sorrento Ocean Beach)

Located in the town of Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia, Sorrento Beach - also known as Sorrento Ocean Beach - is a two-kilometer-long golden sand beach with many rocky portions.  This beach is positioned about 64 miles southwest of the Melbourne city center along Port Phillip Bay and has a beautiful backdrop of cliffs, large boulders, rocky ledges, coastal vegetation, and several oceanfront buildings, creating a picturesque setting along the coast.  This large beach is characterized by calm waters on the Port Phillip Bay side—popularly known as Sorrento Front Beach—and rugged coastline on the Bass Strait side—known as Sorrento Back Beach.  Sorrento Beach promotes sustainable tourism practices to preserve the natural beauty, flora, and fauna of the region.
