Point Cook South 2 is a coastal area located in Victoria, Australia, near the city of Melbourne. The beach is situated south of the Point Cook Homestead and forms part of the boundary of the Point Cook RAAF base. It features a 2.8 km long beach fronted by shallow, intertidal sand and rock flats, with low waves and a 400 m long jetty extending from the RAAF base. However, this beach is off-limits to the public due to its association with the military base.
Despite its inaccessibility, the surrounding area offers beautiful natural landscapes and attractions like the Point Cook Coastal Park, which provides picnic facilities and walking trails. The park also features the Cheetham Wetlands and is known for its abundant birdlife and historical homestead.
For recreational activities, visitors often explore nearby beaches or participate in birdwatching and hiking within the coastal park.
