Maurouard Beach is located in the Break O'Day Council area of Tasmania, near the hamlet of Akaroa. The beach is known for its long stretch of white sand and picturesque views. It is also recognized as Perons or Perrins Beach and spans about 8.5 km, complemented by the Peron Dunes that back it.
The beach offers a dynamic coastal experience with strong southerly waves that create a well-developed bar and beach system, including multiple rips along its length. The dunes, stabilised with marram grass, provide a unique natural environment. Visitors can access the beach on foot across the dunes and enjoy excellent surf conditions, making it a popular spot for surfers and nature lovers alike.
