Middle Point at Cape Douglas in South Australia is a low, round limestone point that forms the boundary between Blanche and Umpherstone bays. It is capped by both active and deflated dunes, with eroded limestone cobbles forming two steep, narrow crenulate beaches on its sides. The beach is accessible via 4WD tracks from both bays, leading to the rear of both cobble beaches. The area is known for its rugged beauty and diverse wildlife, including unique intertidal rock flats and heavy surf on the outer rocks.
The surrounding landscape provides a dramatic contrast with the rocky shores, making it a unique spot for nature lovers. Visitors can enjoy exploring the coastline, taking in the scenic views, and experiencing the challenging yet beautiful terrain.
Despite its natural beauty, Middle Point does not offer extensive tourist facilities like patrolled beaches or various amenities, encouraging a more secluded and serene experience.
