Fairy Meadow Beach

There are several nearby restaurants offering a range of cuisines, including seafood, Thai, and Italian. For a casual beachside dining experience, visitors can check out the kiosks located near the beach.

There are several hotels located within a short distance of Fairy Meadow Beach. The closest is the Quality Suites Pioneer Sands, which offers modern, self-contained apartments. Other nearby hotels include the Novotel Wollongong Northbeach and the Sage Hotel Wollongong, both offering comfortable accommodations and ocean views.

The beach has amenities such as bathroom access, showers, and free Wi-Fi. However, there are no lifeguards on duty. It is important to note that dogs are allowed on this beach but depending on the zone you are in will dictate whether or not your dog has to be leashed. In orange zones, dogs must be leashed and the times they are allowed are in the summer (start of September school holidays to Anzac Day) before 9 am and after 6 pm. In the winter (the rest of the year) dogs are allowed before 9 am and after 4 pm. In the green zones, dogs can be off-leash at all times. Just make sure upon entering and leaving your dog is leashed.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities at Fairy Meadow Beach, such as swimming, surfing, fishing, and sunbathing. There are also volleyball courts available for use.

There is a parking lot available at Fairy Meadow Beach, and it is free to park. However, the lot can fill up quickly during peak hours, so it is advisable to arrive early. Alternatively, visitors can take public transportation or walk to the beach.

Fun fact: Fairy Meadow Beach is a popular spot for snorkeling and scuba diving due to its close proximity to the nearby Wollongong Harbour.

There are plenty of attractions to visit on and near Fairy Meadow Beach. Just south of the beach is the Fairy Meadow Surf Life Saving Club, where visitors can learn more about the beach's history and surf culture. Nearby is also the Wollongong Botanic Garden and the Mount Keira Lookout, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
