Located in the town of Isla Vista, Campus Point Beach is a half-mile-long and narrow beach on the east side of Goleta Point on the University of California, Santa Barbara campus. Campus Point Beach is backed by Campus Lagoon and consists of two separate beach areas – one is near the lagoon and the other is below the bluffs north of the lagoon. Campus Point Beach is a perfect surfing destination, especially for beginners because of its calm waters and mid-size waves.
Located in the town of Isla Vista, Devereux Beach is a half-mile long, wide, and rocky beach south of Nature Center Coal Oil Point Reserve and Devereux Lagoon. Also known as West Campus Beach, Devereux Beach is a perfect destination for surfing as it offers a great right-break surf point. Devereux Beach welcomes dogs on leash and offers a couple of amenities including trails and tide pools. There are many fun activities at Devereux Beach including surfing, hiking, tide pooling, and beach walking. To access Devereux Beach, drive to the end of Camino Majorca Road, where it meets Del Playa Drive. There is a stairway near this intersection point and you can walk 10 minutes west to the beach after climbing these stairs. Visitors can use the few free street parking spots available along Del Playa Drive and Camino Majorca Road.
