Overview
Located on the northern side of the city of St. Augustine, Vilano 4x4 - which is also known as Vilano Beach 4x4 - is a large beach with beige sand, some rocky formations, and nearby sparse vegetation. The beach is situated on the shores of the St. Augustine Inlet.
Amenities
Vilano 4x4 does not have lifeguards or any other amenities, so plan your trip accordingly. Dogs are allowed on Vilano 4x4 if they are on a leash, and the beach is open from sunrise until sunset.

Vilano 4x4 offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, fishing, sailing, surfing, swimming, and watching birds. Vilano 4x4 is ideal for windsurfing due to its frequently windy weather and strong currents due to its location near the inlet. During certain times of the year, four-wheel-driving is allowed on the beach but a permit is required (visit www.sjcfl.us). Getting to Vilano 4x4 is easy - the beach is present at 501 Porpoise Point Drive, where street parking is available.

Ripley's Believe It or Not! is a unique museum with 14 themed galleries, artifacts, incredible art, animal oddities, pop-culture memorabilia, interactive games, and stories about people and places that are hard to believe but are actually real. St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum has a museum that offers a gallery displaying maritime-related memorabilia and historical exhibitions. In addition, it has an active black-and-white-striped 164-foot tall lighthouse that was constructed in 1874 and offers Instagram-worthy and incredible coastal views, and if you come at night you can also experience the beautiful illuminations from the lighthouse. If you are looking for another attraction near Vilano 4x4, Ponce de Leon’s Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park is a waterfront family park that features 16th-century Spanish settlements, historic Timucuan village sites, a watchtower, water springs, a planetarium, and cannons.
