Overview
Located in the city of Marathon, Valhalla Beach is a half-mile-long and wide beach east of Curry Hammock State Park. Spread across 1,000 acres, Curry Hammock State Park is home to many local and migrating species – it hosts a record number of peregrine falcons every fall. Valhalla Beach has beautiful beige-colored sand and is very popular among kiteboarders, jet skiers, sailors, and paddleboarders.

Spread across 1,043 acres, Oleta River State Park is known for canoeing, kayaking, and biking – the park is home to one of the largest concentrations of Australian ‘pine’ trees in Florida. If you like golfing, Hollywood Beach Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course that hosts many events and leagues. Another great attraction near Valhalla Beach is Bal Harbour that has many souvenir shops, galleries, boating tours, fishing trips – and is a great spot for photography.

View Restaurant is situated behind the very famous Sunny Isles Beach and offers beautiful views of the ocean along with calamari rings, prawn pie, chicken and cheese salad, puddings, and lamb patties. Another good restaurant near Valhalla Beach is the Portuguese restaurant Old libson Restaurants - Sunny Isles which has a nice menu that includes Caldo Verde, Portuguese codfish, sardines, bifanas, and Francesinha sandwiches.
