Overview

Located in the city of Flagler Beach, North Peninsula State Park has a long and wide beach at the southern end of the city of Palm Coast.  North Peninsula State Park is backed by many waterways including the Matanzas River and an incredible golf club called Halifax Plantation Golf Course.

Getting to North Peninsula State Park is very easy – the beach’s free parking lot is situated at 40 High Bridge Road. After parking, you will need to walk three minutes east to the beach.

If you are looking for attractions near North Peninsula State Park, you can drive nine minutes to Flagler Beach Historical Museum that is home to many collections of artifacts and images from World War II, local surfing legends, and severe weather events. Named after Gamble Rogers – a Florida folk singer, Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area is spread across 144 acres and features swimming, fishing, boating, canoeing, hiking, bicycling, coastal camping, beachcombing, and watching loggerhead, green, and leatherback sea turtles. If you like hiking, Graham Swamp Conservation Area is spread across 3,000 acres and features hiking and mountain biking trails. Another great attraction near North Peninsula State Park is Flagler Beach Municipal Pier, an 800-feet-long pier well-known for fishing and birdwatching. 

Restaurants

If you get hungry, there are many restaurants within a five-minute drive of North Peninsula State Park. Island Flavaz Restaurant serves authentic Jamaican dishes including callaloo, bammy, coco bread, curry goat, Jamaican beef patties, and jerk chicken. The fusion restaurant Break Awayz offers Kung Pao chicken tacos, Thai curry red risotto, Brussel sprout, sushi, and beef and kimchi fried rice. Another good restaurant near North Peninsula State Park is Oksa Cake, a vegetarian-friendly eatery well-known for pies, pastries, smoothies, cakes, mousses, and habanero chocolate ice cream.
