Located in the city of Fernandina Beach, Main Beach Park is a beachfront park that has a white sand beach. 

Amenities

Main Beach Park offers many amenities including lifeguards (from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day), sand volleyball courts, a playground, picnic shelters, restroom facilities, outdoor showers, a multipurpose court, and a skate park. Dogs are not permitted in the park. Getting to Main Beach Park is easy - it is located at 32 North Fletcher Avenue. The beach is easily accessible from the parking lot near the main entrance.

The park offers many fun activities including swimming, surfing, beachcombing, and sunbathing.

Attractions

There are many attractions near Main Beach Park. Amelia Island Lighthouse dates back to the 18th century and is the oldest lighthouse in Florida. The lighthouse is exclusively open to the public on Saturdays when the grounds are available for three hours of viewing. Twice a month, the city conducts tours of the lighthouse. Fernandina Plaza Historic State Park is a state park that is located on a bluff overlooking the Amelia River. Located in a beautiful coastal community, this grassy park offers stunning river views and picnic areas. Marine Welcome Center & Shrimping Museum showcases the history of shrimping in Fernandina Beach. It preserves the history of Amelia Island through artifacts, photos, and videos. If you are looking for another attraction near Main Beach Park, Central Park is a city park that features four hard-surface tennis courts, six hard-surface pickleball courts, and four petanque courts.
